What is Phonics? What Are The Steps To Proceed?

An insight about phonics. What is phonics actually? If you are a homeschooling mom or a new teacher who wants to learn about phonics, this video is for you.

Jolly Phonics has three levels. Each level is designed to cater to the literacy needs of children age-wise.
In Jolly Phonics Level 1 (age 4-5 years) we teach 42 sounds of English along with blending and segmenting of sounds.
By the end of level 1, children can read and write simple sentences.

Level 2 has the alternative spelling of vowels, tricky words and some spelling rules. More focus on independent writing, reading and the use of new vocabulary.

In level 3, we work on building more understanding towards alternative spelling, more tricky words are introduced and children are provided with activities to improve their comprehension skills.
