The energy of the event, encompassing all of the emirate and extending to the east coast towns of Dibba, Khorfakkan and Kalba, is loved by visitors and residents, enriching travellers’ experience and integrating tourism, culture and creativity in a profound and meaningful manner while benefiting the local community.

The Festival is a highly anticipated annual event, utilising creative and innovative light technology and specifically curated music so the iconic landmarks of the emirate, such as Sharjah Mosque, the University City Hall, the Al Majaz Waterfront and many others can literally be seen in a new light. Many of the designs are poetic and inspired by local culture, stories and traditions or incorporate nature and space, some are based on more modern art and design, all are beautiful and thought provoking.
